My path here was not direct — and that's the point.
I came to this work the way most people who stay with it do — through my own body.
Chronic stress, physical burnout, personal loss. Years of pushing through, trying harder, looking for the thing that would finally make me feel okay. I tried the apps, the therapy, the supplements, the yoga. Each one offered something real. Qigong just went to a level the others weren't designed to reach.
What I eventually found was something I didn't expect: the body doesn't need to be fixed. It needs to feel safe enough to stop fighting. Once it does, it knows exactly what to do.
That shift changed everything for me — not just my stress levels, but my sleep, my presence, my relationship with my own body. It's why I do this work, and why I teach it the way I do.
BACKGROUND / TRAINING
Over the years I've studied Chinese Energetic Medicine, Medical Qigong, somatic regulation practices, meditation, and intuitive development — through both formal training and direct personal experience. My work is deeply rooted in the teachings of Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson and Daoist energetic traditions, and equally shaped by years of sitting with real people navigating stress, grief, exhaustion, chronic illness, sensitivity, and major life transitions.
I've worked with people carrying the weight of burnout and anxiety, grief, chronic tension, and major life transitions. The practice itself has a well-documented history of supporting people through serious illness — including as a complement to cancer treatment — and I hold space for that with appropriate care.
What they all share is a body that's been running too hard for too long, and a deep need to come back to themselves. This work meets all of them.
THE SPACE I HOLD
Sessions with me are unhurried. Some are deeply restorative and meditative. Some are educational and practical. Some are surprisingly quiet. What they always are is responsive — shaped around what your nervous system actually needs, not a fixed agenda.
If you feel called to go further, I also offer deeper training in meditation, energetic perception, and awareness practices — always approached with care, precision, and without theatrics.
I created Unwind Energetics because I wanted a space where healing work could feel genuinely human: structured but relaxed, deep without being heavy, and supportive without pretending to have all the answers.
No performance. No pressure to "be spiritual." Just real practices that help people feel more clear, regulated, connected, and alive.
